Smash Bros. Brawl is two weeks away, and with every passing moment I get more and more excited. I’ve already hyped myself up, and I can’t wait to get my Smash on. Kamal on the other hand has never been big on Smash Bros. This is a pretty accurate depiction of what happens when I try to talk to him about Brawl. The game better come out soon, for Kamal’s sanity and my safety.

Kamal didn’t get a comic to me yesterday, but my friend Pixle offered to do some filler. Some quick, disturbing filler that will probably give me, and some of you, nightmares.
Once again, Sonic is a dick to his “friends”. You have to admit, in recent memory, Sonic and Mario have been getting a bit more chummy. First there’s Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, then Smash Bros… What’s next for these former enemies? All I can say is, get used to it, Mario.

Ever since I first saw the trailers for Mario and Sonic At The Olympics, I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing when Robotnik was participating. There’s got to be some reason he can suddenly jump so far.
Bonus points if you get the reference in panel 2!

You know, it was almost hard to find jokes about Sonic Riders Zero Gravity’s storyline, because it’s just so ridiculous. But we found a way.
Monday is a holiday in Ontario. New holiday set up by the provincial government. And we spent our vacation day goofing off with friends. So we’re probably not going to have an update Monday. We’re trying our best to have something up for Tuesday, so please bear with us!

I’m sick of hearing about how Sonic is all about speed and attitude. Nobody ever says Sonic has a strong sense of justice, or unwavering loyalty, or even that he can even be intelligent and caring at times. No. It’s just: “SPEEEEEEEEEEED!”
There’s a name for a character with only one defining trait. It’s called a stereotype. And it has to stop.

With the release of this month’s issue of Sonic, Matt Herms joins the ranks of Sonic fans who’ve contributed to canon material. A preview is available on Ian Flynn’s messageboard and I have to say, after more than a year of Tracy’s (excellent) work it’s refreshing to see a different Sonic once in a while.
At the same time, the more I see of Mina, the more I’d wish she stay away, but that’s because I’m a prick like that.

Spoilers for Smash Bros. Brawl! It appears Sonic DOES appear in The Subspace Emissary. Just… right at the very end. Just in time to join the fight against the final boss.
You’d think the fastest thing alive would be able to join the party on time. You’d also think that he could’ve been more help to them earlier in the game, but as we’ve already established, Sonic is a world class dick. No wonder Snake just can’t like him.
Today’s only filler, since I couldn’t reach Kamal. Regular comic on Thursday!

Despite what Ian says, I don’t believe that Locke is “dead” dead, simply because of what has happened to the other Guardians as they have passed on. Knuckles died under similar circumstances and he survived the afterlife with no ill effects (unless you count losing his mind as of issue 184).

So in the latest Archie comic, apparently the Dark Legion joined Eggman, and Dimitri is their new leader. In the comic, he’s come back as essentially a glass ball with dreadlock-tentacles. The first thought in my mind was “Why the hell didn’t Eggman make Dimitri a new body?” Then we remembered what Eggman’s robots usually look like.
Kamal and Gear had a party on Saturday, so they didn’t have time to do the comic. We’ll try to be back Sunday, otherwise we’ll be back Monday!
