If there’s one thing to be said about Sonic, it’s that he’s consistently a dick.

It does seem that Sonic and Fiona have finally parted ways, as per Ian’s plan. But it still remains to be seen whether this is a sign that Sonic and Sally will renew their relationship. My guess is no.

Regular strip on Saturday!

Okay, so I have a quick message for anyone who bought the Prima Guide for Sonic and the Secret Rings. It’s filled with lies.

Ignoring the fact that it claims to have an appendix dealing with the Secret Book which it doesn’t have, the stated location of the Fire Souls in Levitated Ruin 1 is wrong. The walkthrough states that the third Fire Soul is in the final tower, between two vines. But the third Fire Soul is actually what the guide calls the second Fire Soul. In fact, the stage map at the beginning of the section shows the REAL second Soul being between their stated second soul and the first. After some exploring, I finally figured out where it was:

After defeating the gargoyle enemy, use Time Break. While in Time Break, the second Soul will be standing on the platform the gargoyle once inhabited.

Prima Games, please, get someone to review your work BEFORE you send it to publisher.

We’ve been waiting to use this joke ever since we read Blaze’s profile on Sega’s SotH website. Now seemed to be a very good time.

I’ve got a message. EB Games Canada, you have FAILED me. That is all.

Comic will be a little late, but we’ll try to get something up.

Rouge has never been an orthodox thief. Most thieves leave calling cards, not balloons shaped like themselves.

I know some of you probably guessed this was going to happen, but I assure you, you will be pleasantly surprised by the resolution.

In other news, the new solicitations for issues 175 and 176. Knothole destroyed? Everyone captured by Eggman? Only Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy left to save the world?

It’s official, Mobius is doomed.

Comic’s gonna be delayed again. Can’t get ahold of Kamal. Sorry, folks.

Sorry, all my anger and vitriol has been used up for this week. I’ll try to rant more next time.

No idea where the hell Kamal is, so I can’t tell you when the comic will be updated. Keep checking back and we’ll try to update ASAP!

For all those who forgot the arc Perfect Match, Lara-Su’s last crush in Power Rings was Vector. And it seems Vector is still a little touchy about it.

So I read the review on Sonic Stadium about their playtest of Sonic and the Secret Rings. As a Wii owner, I’m certainly excited about playing the game, and I’m certainly pleased about how positive the response to the game has been in general. It’s not out yet, but I’m holding out hope that it’s a good game. After all, we need a good Sonic game to wash the taste of Sonic 360 out of our mouths.

One way or another, Sonic and the Secret Rings will have an impact on the future of the Sonic franchise. As Kamal and I discussed earlier tonight, if it does poorly, then Sega could finally clue in that the status quo is no longer cutting it, and devote more effort to producing a better product, or in the worst case scenario, drop Sonic altogether. If it does well, then perhaps Sega will realize that the current Sonic Team just isn’t cutting it, and decide to drop some fresh blood into the development team. Secret Rings should have some lasting impact on the franchise. All that remains to be seen is what impact that will be.
