This is somewhat true. I did try playing Sonic Adventure: DX in earnest. I haven’t invested that much time in chao raising, but let’s just say this is definitely for patient people. Or sadists.

Sorry about the lack of communications, RL has a way of sneaking up on you when you least suspect it. Please accept this filler for this week. We’ll try for a real comic on Friday, but don’t hold us to that.

Kamal is insanely busy lately, so I’ve had to fill in and produce a bit of filler for you. Regular comic should be back on Friday.

So today, enjoy a joke inspired by Karl Bollers’ plans for the future of the Archie comic. In his notes regarding his future plans he announced that his ultimate plan for Nicole was to have her and A.D.A.M., Robotnik’s pet virus, hook up in cyberspace, A.D.A.M. betraying Robotnik, and going to Knothole and stealing all the ShadowBots to be with Nicole.

And I make no apologies for my humor.

For those of you wondering why Manik looks different here than in the official comic, I mean, c’mon, we had to do something. Manik’s entire chara, from the gap-toothed clone look to the spouting of tired 80s slang screamed, “afterthought.” At least with the earrings he can be a punk poser…

So the Comics Code Authority doesn’t like guns, and yet an army of chao armed with chainsaws is okay… Makes perfect sense. See? Even Chris agrees!

I saw the trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it first came out. My first thought was “We’ve got Snake in the motherfucking game!” My second thought was, if their plans to include more third party characters go over there could be some fun times ahead. All those Sonic vs. Mario flash cartoons could finally come true…

You knew we had to say something about the new guy, right?

When Sega released their first look at Silver, I could almost hear the collective “Groan!” from the fanbase. Why is there no pleasing some people? Silver looks to offer some substantial platforming, but all anyone can say is that he looks like a bad fan chara. The FMVs have been getting increasingly detailed over the years, but now the fans say it looks ripped off from Final Fantasy. (As if that wasn’t a good thing.) And of course, “OH NOES! TEH SHADOW CAR!”

Why is there no pleasing the Sonic fan?

I’d like to know where you stand as a fan. Here’s a thread in our forum about which games you thought were good and which should be tossed into a flaming volcano.

On another note, sorry about the lack of Incentive Zone recently. Gear is working on a big project for school. Between that and work, his free time is non-existent. He’ll be finished soon; wish him luck!
