There is a reason why Cream has never appeared in the original Archie Sonic comic. SEGA decreed that they would not be allowed to use any characters that were created for Sonic X, and apparently Cream was created for the games as a lead in to the Sonic X anime.

Yeah, I don’t buy it for a second either.
