Anyway, apparently there’re new rumours swirling about regarding the looooong in coming SatAM movie, only this time it’s turned into a trilogy of movies. As you can check out here the stories have been plotted and the animation studio picked out. All that’s left is to get Sega’s approval. Uh oh.

Sally as one of the main protagonists? Shadow as an unrelenting villain? Oh, yeah, Sega’s going to jump all over this. To smother it to death.

As a SatAM stalwart, I’ve been hoping for a movie for a long time. But let’s face it. After almost 15 years, and Sega’s hardline approach to mascot handling, I can’t see this as being anything more than a pile, assuming it ever sees the light of day.

Of course, it could also be the best thing ever to happen to Sonic’s franchise if everything plays out right. But let’s just say I’m not holding my breath.
